Augustus. (27 BC-14 AD). Silver tetradrachm (13.75 gm). Laodicea ad Mare, Year 32 = 16 BC. [KAIΣAPOΣ] ΣEBAΣTOY, laureate head right, BΛ before neck / IOYΛIEΩN TΩN KAI ΛAOΔIKEΩN ΣE, turreted, draped, and veiled bust of Tyche right, A behind neck, Φ before neck. RPC 4381 (3 specimens: BM, Vienna, Paris). Prieur 1101. The fourth specimen recorded. Very fine/extremely fine. Cf. RPC, page 634: Laodicean tetradrachms of "Augustus, Divus Augustus and Nero [are] all very rare today and struck from very few dies.".
